When farmers search for "CM Kisan", they are usually looking for the extra money their state government adds to PM Kisan. The Centre pays ₹6,000 a year in three instalments (kist) of ₹2,000. Some states add their own amount, either through a separate scheme or as an extra payment to the same PM Kisan beneficiaries (labharthi).
This guide is independent. It is not a government website and it cannot show your payment. It explains which state pays what, when the last payment was released, and how each scheme is tied to PM Kisan, so you know where to look and which office to ask. All dates below are as reported up to 16 October 2026.
What "CM Kisan" usually refers to
"CM Kisan" is not one national scheme. The name is used in three ways:
- Odisha CM-KISAN: this is the official name of Odisha's scheme. The Odisha Chief Minister's Office used the name "CM-KISAN" in its release of 4 September 2026. It replaced the older KALIA scheme in 2024.
- Rajasthan "CM Kisan Samman Nidhi": the state's Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is often shortened to "CM Kisan" in Hindi news headlines. This is a popular short name, not an official title.
- MP "CM Kisan Kalyan": Madhya Pradesh's Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana is sometimes searched this way.
Maharashtra's top-up is called Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi and is rarely called CM Kisan. If you searched "CM Kisan status", first decide which state scheme you mean, then open the matching page: Odisha CM-KISAN, Rajasthan CM Kisan Samman Nidhi or MP Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
State top-up schemes compared
The table lists the state schemes found in our research. Amounts are per year. "Latest release" is the most recent payment reported as of 16 October 2026.
| State | Scheme | Amount per year | Latest release | Link to PM Kisan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Odisha | CM-KISAN | ₹4,000 (2 x ₹2,000) for small and marginal farmers | 5th kist, 4 Sep 2026: ₹833 crore+ to 41,35,978 farmers and 13,949 landless households (Odisha CMO) | Separate state scheme, paid in addition to PM Kisan |
| Rajasthan | Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi | ₹3,000 (about ₹1,000 per kist) | 6th kist, 16 Aug 2026: ₹667.40 crore to 66.74 lakh farmers (Kisan India) | Only for PM Kisan beneficiaries in Rajasthan |
| Madhya Pradesh | Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana | ₹6,000 (3 x ₹2,000) | 27 Jul 2026: ₹4,000 each (two kist together), ₹3,308 crore to 82.70 lakh farmers (India.com) | Needs PM Kisan registration with eKYC |
| Maharashtra | Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi | ₹6,000 (3 x ₹2,000) | 8th kist, credited around 25 Mar 2026 (Agrowon); 9th not released as of 16 Oct 2026 | Only PM Kisan beneficiaries; paid after a PM Kisan kist |
| Andhra Pradesh | Annadata Sukhibhava | ₹14,000 state + ₹6,000 PM Kisan = ₹20,000 | 1st kist of 2026-27, 20 Jun 2026: ₹3,125 crore to 46,85,838 families (Deccan Chronicle) | Combined with PM Kisan in 3 kist |
| Telangana | Rythu Bharosa | ₹12,000 per acre, 2 kist | Kharif 2026-27: ₹7,750.45 crore credited in 7 days to about 68.96 lakh farmers (ap7am, 7 Jul 2026) | Separate from PM Kisan; paid per acre of cultivated land |
| West Bengal | Krishak Bandhu and new state top-up | Announced 28 Sep 2026: ₹3,000 extra for PM Kisan farmers (₹9,000 total) | No Kharif 2026 payment reported | PM Kisan farmers are no longer eligible for Krishak Bandhu |
Two more states need a note. Karnataka added ₹4,000 a year in 2019 through its FRUITS system (Deccan Herald, August 2019), but we could not confirm that this top-up is being paid now. Chhattisgarh's Krishak Unnati Yojana is not a flat top-up: it pays the paddy price difference up to ₹3,100 per quintal for paddy sold. For Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Haryana, our research found no state cash top-up on PM Kisan, so farmers there receive only the central ₹6,000.

The West Bengal change in 2026
West Bengal is the biggest change this year. A new government took office in May 2026. On 28 September 2026, Agriculture Minister Dudh Kumar Mondal announced, as reported by Millennium Post (September 2026):
- only one Krishak Bandhu beneficiary per family;
- PM Kisan beneficiaries are not eligible for Krishak Bandhu, and Krishak Bandhu beneficiaries are not eligible for PM Kisan;
- PM Kisan farmers in West Bengal will get ₹3,000 a year extra from the state, making ₹9,000 in total;
- a re-verification drive, with its deadline extended by 10 days.
The formal order was not yet on the state portal when this page was written, and no Kharif 2026 payment had been reported. Older Krishak Bandhu rules (up to ₹10,000 a year for 1 acre or more, minimum ₹4,000) may change after re-verification, so confirm with your block agriculture office before deciding which scheme to stay in.
Three ways states link their money to PM Kisan
The link to PM Kisan decides what you must fix if money stops.
1. Top-up for PM Kisan beneficiaries only
Rajasthan, Maharashtra and now West Bengal pay only farmers who are already PM Kisan beneficiaries. Maharashtra uses the same land cut-off as PM Kisan (land held on 1 February 2019). If your PM Kisan record has a problem, the state money usually stops too. Fix PM Kisan first: see PM Kisan payment not received.
2. Combined payment
Andhra Pradesh pays its share together with PM Kisan. The first kist of a year is ₹5,000 from the state plus ₹2,000 from the Centre.
3. Separate state scheme
Odisha CM-KISAN and Telangana Rythu Bharosa run their own lists. Odisha's scheme is paid in addition to PM Kisan, and Telangana's per-acre payment is separate from it. MP sits in between: it is a state scheme but requires PM Kisan registration with eKYC.
How to find out if your state money has come
There is no single "CM Kisan portal" for all states. Follow these steps:
- Check your bank passbook or SMS first. State payments come by DBT to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account, often on a different day from PM Kisan.
- Confirm your PM Kisan record is healthy. On the official PM Kisan portal (pmkisan.gov.in), use "Know Your Status" and make sure land seeding, Aadhaar bank seeding and eKYC all show Yes. Our PM Kisan status guide explains each field.
- Find your state's own status route on the matching state page linked above. Several state portals could not be verified by us, so confirm the address through your state agriculture department before entering details.
- If you are in a Farmer Registry state, make sure you have a Farmer ID. Odisha's Chief Minister urged farmers to register in the Farmers' Registry in September 2026.
- If the money still has not come, visit your block or tehsil agriculture office with your passbook and PM Kisan registration number.
CM Kisan kab aayegi: next installment dates
As of 16 October 2026, none of these four states had officially announced its next date:
- Rajasthan: 7th kist, no official date found.
- MP: 2nd kist of 2026-27, no date found.
- Maharashtra: 9th kist not released (Saam TV, October 2026). The separate ₹5,000 drought aid talked about before Diwali is not Namo Shetkari.
- Odisha: the 5th kist for Rabi 2026-27 was paid on 4 September 2026; the next date is not announced.
For PM Kisan itself, the 23rd kist came on 20 June 2026 and the 24th (period August to November 2026) had no official date as of 13 October 2026. See PM Kisan installment dates. Be careful of videos and websites that give exact future dates without naming an official source.
Stay safe: only official addresses
State top-ups attract fake websites and agents. Use only official .gov.in addresses or your state agriculture department office. Never pay an agent to "release" a kist, and never share an OTP with anyone who calls you. This site will never ask for your Aadhaar number, registration number, bank details or OTP. For official helplines, see Kisan apps and helplines.

Among schemes in our research, Andhra Pradesh's Annadata Sukhibhava gives ₹20,000 a year per family including PM Kisan's ₹6,000. MP and Maharashtra give ₹6,000 each, making ₹12,000 with PM Kisan.
