If you are a Maharashtra farmer and money from PM Kisan reaches your account, you should also get a second payment from the state under the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY). It is run by the Agriculture Department of the Government of Maharashtra and was set up by a Government Resolution (GR) dated 15 June 2023, with 1 April 2023 as the scheme open date (publicservicesmap.in, citing the GR).

The state money is paid by DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) into Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, the same way as PM Kisan. It comes as a separate credit, usually at a different date from the PM Kisan installment.

Namo Shetkari 9th installment: kist kab aayegi?
As of 16 October 2026, the 9th installment has not been released, as reported by Saam TV (October 2026). No official date has been announced. A third-party website claiming that the 9th installment has "started" could not be confirmed, so do not rely on it.
The pattern to know: the state pays its installment after a PM Kisan installment. The latest PM Kisan installment, the 23rd, was released on 20 June 2026 (PIB). The state has not announced when it will follow. We will not guess a date.
Important: news about ₹5,000 drought aid before Diwali is a separate relief payment. It is not a Namo Shetkari installment. Do not confuse the two, and do not believe messages that link them.
Who is eligible
Eligibility mirrors PM Kisan, according to publicservicesmap.in citing the June 2023 GR:
- You must be a PM Kisan beneficiary in Maharashtra. Only PM Kisan labharthis are paid.
- You must have held the land on 01.02.2019, the same cut-off as PM Kisan.
- The same exclusions as PM Kisan apply, such as income tax payers, serving or retired government employees (except Multi Tasking Staff, Class IV and Group D) and holders of constitutional posts.
- Your bank account must be Aadhaar-linked for DBT.

Not received Namo Shetkari money? Follow these steps
- First confirm the installment was actually released. As of 16 October 2026 the 9th was not. No release means no credit for anyone.
- Check your PM Kisan status. On the official PM Kisan portal (pmkisan.gov.in), use Know Your Status. Land seeding, Aadhaar bank seeding and eKYC must all show Yes. Our PM Kisan status guide explains each field.

- Check that your bank account is Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled at your bank branch.
- Ask your village agriculture assistant or taluka agriculture office to check your record in the state list.
- Use official channels only. For PM Kisan issues, the official helpline is 155261. Never pay an agent and never share an OTP.
Where to check Namo Shetkari status
A state beneficiary status portal is widely reported at nsmny.mahait.org. We could not check this address ourselves, so please confirm the address through the Maharashtra agriculture department (your taluka agriculture office) before you enter any details. Never use a site that asks for payment.

Is the ₹5,000 Diwali amount part of Namo Shetkari?
No. The ₹5,000 drought aid reported before Diwali 2026 is a separate relief payment. It is not a Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi installment, which is ₹2,000 each. Do not trust messages that combine the two or ask you to pay a fee or share an OTP to receive either amount.

First check whether the state installment has been released yet, since the 9th was not out as of 16 October 2026. If others in your village were paid and you were not, ask your taluka agriculture office to check your record, and confirm your bank account is Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled at your branch.
